The Flashing-Steady LED Brake Light has been developed to provide an eye catching third brake light, especially designed to attract attention to you and your vehicle while braking. It has been designed for easy installation and detachment. For example, if you would like to remove it during an auto show event. It has been designed to operate for both vintage and modern vehicles. It only draws 100 ma, and it operates on 6 and 12 volt electrical systems, positive or negative grounds. It is completely encased with epoxy inside aluminum channel, making it durable, rugged, and completely weather proof. The light measures 8-1/4" long, 15/16" tall, and 3/4" thick.
The Flashing-Steady LED Brake Light grabs attention by pulsing its 10, 10 mm dia. superbright red LEDs and then goes to a steady on state. Every time power is applied, it flashes for a set period and then goes to a steady on. The Aluminum Flashing-Steady LED Brake Light is available in several different flashing periods. Preset flashing periods of 2 seconds, 4 seconds, and 6 seconds are available. Steady on only, is also available. InstallationThe Aluminum Flashing-Steady LED Brake Light is available in three different installation options.
One option has two 1/4" holes on either end for mounting. You can customize brackets for it, and attach it however you like. Since it is poured epoxy inside an aluminum channel, the light is very rugged, and it can be mounted outside or inside your vehicle.
The next option uses brackets with suction cups attached to both ends of the light for attachment to the inside of your vehicle's rear window. The brackets can be rotated to allow the light to point straight back.
A third option has brackets with magnetic cups attached to both ends of the light for attachment to the exterior of the vehicle. The brackets can be rotated to aim the light to your satisfaction, and they easily allow the magnets to attach to the curve of your vehicle. In additon, the magnetic cups have black felt on the bottom to prevent any possibility of scratching your vehicle's finish. Click the images below for larger photos.

DC Plug and JackThe Aluminum Flashing-Steady LED Brake Light receives power from one of your existing brake lights or the brake light switch. Its power is feed through a DC plug and jack. The jack is permanently installed in your vehicle and is located in an area of your vehicle that is easily accessible for the plug from the brake light to connect up to. This allows for easy detachment if you would like to remove it for example, at an auto show event. The wire length of the brake light to the plug is 6 feet, and the length of wire attached to the jack is also 6 feet. So the total wire length is 12 feet.
